Hi all,
It’s been a while since last time I circulated the email about good news from our interns. It is tough time for job searching.
But good news now! Please join me in congratulating Ivy successfully secured an entry level accounting role in a medium size company. The role is more about order and invoice processing. Ivy actually applied a receivable officer with the company a couple of weeks ago. The interviewer thinks her experience might not be suitable for the high volume AR responsibilities. But obviously they like her and when this role came up, they called me for a reference check and offered her this role. Ivy wasn’t really into this role as it’s not much accounting skills involved. However, considering the company has brunches all over the places, there might be other accounting roles available in future. It will be a lot easier for internal replacement. We did have an intern he started as data processer with a listed company. After a couple months, within their organization, there were AA roles in financial reporting and internal tax departments. His manager strongly recommended him to those two departments’ managers. He finally chose the tax department. He did really well so far.
It’s always been good to step in the industry first and then look for better opportunities.
One thing is, please do not give up.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
